CHALLENGE
Designed and launched new website for K-pop artist Mark Tuan to coincide with his latest release, "Silhouette." With a tight 2-week timeline before the music release, the site needed to support multiple simultaneous launches: the new single and music video, a fan sign tour announcement across the US, Europe, and Asia, and the introduction of re:mark, his new community platform.
The homepage required strategic design to direct users to the music video, streaming/purchase options, merchandise shop, tour events, and newsletter signup for fan data collection.
Approach
Conducted comparative analysis of artist websites and created sitemap to plan site architecture before building. Selected WordPress template approved by Mark's team, then developed wireframes and mockups utilizing their brand guidelines. Made strategic recommendations for maximum impact, including proposing a full-width video background featuring "Silhouette" teasers instead of a requested carousel banner—enhancing visual storytelling and creating more immersive first impression.
Built site by customizing template elements, designing homepage hero section with clear calls-to-action, and creating dedicated sections for the re:mark community hub, events page for the international fan sign tour, and a comprehensive music archive.
OUTCOME
Successfully launched website alongside "Silhouette" music release, providing fans seamless access to new music, video content, and merchandise.
The events section effectively communicated fan sign tour details across multiple regions, the music archive section celebrated Mark’s solo music journey, and the newsletter integration captured fan email signups for ongoing engagement.
Site met all launch deadlines and delivered functional platform that supported Mark's multi-faceted release strategy and fan community building efforts.
